I recently acquired a book for purchase online that I feel has become the quintessential part into my Leslie Howard collection and one in which I was deeply grateful to be receiving very soon the book was entitled Leslie Howard: The Lost Actor (2010) by Estel Efrogan and for me, this renowned piece of compelling and insightful literature offers a comprehensive, candid and awe-inspiring glimpse into the life, film career and cinematic legacy of one of my personal favorite actors from Hollywood’s Golden Age. “What the actor is in private life, he is to a large extent on the stage because he cannot conceal himself and his true personality from his audience” Leslie Howard Steiner (April 3 rd, 1893- June 1 st, 1943)
